14.5 ft dayboat. Ketch rig (main and mizzen. Both masts are
'unstayed'.)
Ideal family day boat. Can be sailed with a crew of 4, or
motored/rowed with 5 or 6 (room for outboard motor on transom,
and built-in motor storage locker at rear of boat). Extremely
stable hull, but can perform like a sporty dinghy when required.
Suitable for mooring but is also easy to launch.
Sail no: 250, Blue GRP hull; 1995; Ex-demo boat.
Sail area 11 m2; centreboard
Includes: Road/launch trailer combi; picnic coolbox;lots of
water-tight storage units;oars/spare rowlocks;sprayhood
Cover. Outboard available separately, but it's a bit old and
a little underpowered for the Cruz at 2hp. However, it'll
help push you out of Kippford against the tide, and fits nicely
in the rear locker.
